Resident Evil 2D - Complete!
Finally finished my Resident Evil 2D project! Here's an excerpt from my adaptation document where I reflect on the project: Overall I’m very happy with how this project turned out. It took longer than expected, but I’ll put that down to it being the first project in the series, and I also ended up making the vertical slice, which wasn’t in my original plan. It really made me think about why certain aspects of design are implemented, where I might not have given them too much thought otherwise – the camera angles are a good example. Adapting Resident Evil into Resident Evil 2D was less straightforward than I thought it would be, as there was so much to think about, but I think what I came up with captures the essence of the original in a way that plays to the strengths of a the 2D point and click genre.
